From a small team to an international player
When Remant Cool Logistics was founded in 2011, the team consisted of just three colleagues with a clear mission: to be a logistics partner that understands the food industry and supports customers with specialized expertise in chilled and frozen supply chains.
“Fifteen years ago, we started with a small team, a great deal of enthusiasm, and the belief that there was room for a specialist who truly understands what customers in the food sector need,” say directors Steve Adriaenssens and Peter Van den Broeck. “Today, we are active across multiple continents with a team of 47 colleagues, and that makes us incredibly proud. When we started in 2011, we could never have imagined this.”
In 2013, Remant Cool Logistics expanded into the Netherlands, marking the start of an important growth phase. In 2021, the company took another major international step by establishing Remant Cool Logistics USA in Deerfield Beach, Florida, where a local team continues to develop services throughout North and South America.
Growth through people, expertise and innovation
The past fifteen years have brought not only geographic expansion, but also major advances in processes and technology.
In the early years, operations relied on paper files, printed documents, and manual data processing. Today, digital connectivity, automated data exchange, and paperless workflows are standard practice throughout the organization.
Looking back, Steve and Peter smile at how much has changed.
“When we started, Remant Cool occupied roughly the same amount of office space as two large printers. Invoices were still printed in multiple copies, and some certificates were even completed on a typewriter. What seems commonplace today was a major step forward at the time.”
